Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern PA is a registered non-profit organization that was established in 1978. It is the largest credit counseling and debt management agency in the state of Pennsylvania. CCCS of NEPA was founded by three businessmen from the Scranton area to educate and help people on the prudent use of their credit. CCCS of NEPA began as a small one-person operation in Scranton and later started counseling in Wilkes-Barre. The number of employees increased to four in 1984. High consumer demands forced the agency to open a full-time branch in Wilkes-Barre. In addition, CCCS of NEPA also opened branches in Williamsport, State College, Milford, Bloomsburg, Sunbury, Hazleton, and Stroudsburg.

CCCS of NEPA has gradually expanded since its establishment and has currently it is a regional organization. The agency has branch offices in ten locations that serve consumers in northeastern, western and central Pennsylvania. Services offered include free credit counseling, housing counseling, bankruptcy education, bankruptcy credit counseling, educational programs, debt management and repayment, employer assistance programs, and credit report review. These services are offered by telephone, online or in-person. Some of the services offered by CCCS of NEPA are free while others you are charged a certain amount of fee.
HOW TO LOGIN
Step 1 – Click here to open the website in a new tab and click “Payer Express” link located on the upper-right side of the screen.
Step 2 – Then press the “Click here to go to CCCS payer express” button if you’re a debt management program client.
Step 3 – Enter your login ID and your password and then click on the “Login” button.
You should have logged in to your online account once you click the login button. If you are having troubles logging in, check whether your credentials are entered correctly.
HOW TO RESET/FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
Step 1 – Click “Forgot your Login ID?” link if you cannot recall the login ID of your online account.
Step 2 – Enter your CCCS client number, enter the email address you used when you enrolled in a debt management program and then click “Send”.
CCCS will send an email containing your login ID after a few minutes once you click the “send” button.
Forgot Password
Step 1 – Click the “Password Help?” Link if you have forgotten the current password of your online account.
Step 2 – Enter your login ID and email address associated with your online account and click the “Send my password” button. You should receive an email with instructions on how to retrieve your lost password.
HOW TO PAY A PAYMENT
Step 1 – Click “Payer Express” link located on the upper-right side of the screen.
Step 2 – Then press the “Click here to go to CCCS payer express” button if you’re a debt management program client to make a payment.
Note that you will need a valid email address, zip code, CCCS client number, checking or savings account number and your bank routing number. Payments are secure and can be done anytime of the day. CCCS charges a fee of $1.50 for each transaction done.
