The pre-filing and post-filing courses are available in English and Spanish. You can do the course any time of the day because they are available 24/7. DebtorEdu is authorized to issue certificates of completion once a client successfully completes each course. In order to get your certificate, simply log in and follow the instructions on the website to get your certificate.
You are required by law to do the first bankruptcy course before you can file for bankruptcy while the second course is required after you file for bankruptcy. The two courses can be done as an individual or as joint.
HOW TO LOGIN
If you have an online account in DebtorEdu, follow the steps below to access your account:
Step 1 – Click here to open the website in a new tab and then click on the “Login” button located on the upper-right side of the screen.
Step 2 – Enter the email address that is associated with your account, enter the current password, select your preferred course and then click on the “Log In” button. There are two courses which are the pre-filing credit counseling and post-filing debtor education.
You should not have troubles logging in to your account if the email address and password you provided are associated with your online account. If you are a new to DebtorEdu, you can sign up for an online account by simply clicking “Sign up Now” link.
HOW TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD
If you are having troubles with your current DebtorEdu password, the steps below will help you reset it:
Step 1 – Click the “Forgot password” link in case you have forgotten the current password of DebtorEdu. You can find the “Forgot password” link on the login page.
Step 2 – Enter the email address you used when signing up for the account and then click on the “Send” button.
DebtorEdu will email you the password if the email address you entered is associated with your account. Note that you need to be patient because the delivery of the email may be delayed. Remember to also check the spam or junk folder before you contact the customer support. If you still have troubles receiving the password, contact the customer support at support@debtoedu.com for further assistance.
HOW TO PAY YOUR BILL
Step 1 – Click the “Start First Course” button on the home page. You will need to sign up for the first course before you can make a payment.
Note that if you want to pay for the second course, click “Start Second Course”. You will also be required to sign up for this course before you can make a payment.
