One program offered by Catholic Charities is bankruptcy counseling which is necessary for individuals who are unable to meet their financial obligations to the creditors. The bankruptcy counseling program consists of two classes which include the pre-bankruptcy credit counseling and the post-bankruptcy debtor education course. The fee for each course is $50 for a single individual and $75 per couple. Once each course is completed, a certificate of completion is issued in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Note that the fees may be reduced based on the household gross income.
