DTE Electric Company and DTE Gas Company merged in 2001 and are the largest subsidiaries of DTE Energy Company today. DTE Energy has twenty-two stations that generate their power and they have a capacity of producing more than 100 megawatts. DTE Energy has invested a lot of money in renewable energy especially in solar and wind energy. The company has built solar arrays in Michigan and it plans on getting rid of generators that are powered by coal at the coal plants. Building of solar arrays has helped reduce greenhouse gases emitted to the environment.
DTE Energy has two mobile applications available for download in Google Play and App Store. DTE Insight and DTE Energy are the two mobile applications available. DTE Insight app helps customers to discover and improve energy use at homes while DTE Energy app makes it easy for customers to do almost anything like paying bills, tracking an outage, comparing energy usage, and much more with just three clicks. These two apps are only available for DTE Energy customers.
HOW TO LOGIN
Step 1 – Click here to open the website in a new window and you will see the login fields on the left side of the screen.
Step 2 – Enter your email and your password in the login fields and then click “Sign In” button.
You should have logged in if your details are correct. Note that you can click on “Remember Me” box to automatically log in whenever you visit DTE Energy website. Note that it’s not recommended to click on “Remember Me” box if you’re using a public computer.
RESET/FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
Step 1 – Click on “Problems Signing In?” if you do not remember your password for DTE Energy account.
Step 2 – Enter your email address and then click on “Reset Password” button.
You should enter the email address you used when registering your DTE Energy account. DTE Energy will send a message with a link to reset your password.
HOW TO PAY BILL
Step 1 – Click “Guest Pay” button to pay without logging in.
Step 2 – Select the method you prefer for account verification, either “By Service Address” or “By Account Number”.
Step 3 – Enter your last name or business name, enter your address, your unit, your zip code, and click on “I’m not a robot” check-box and then click “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
You can also pay your bill by first logging in and then Click “Billing & Payment” on the upper left-hand side of the screen and then click “Pay My Bill”. DTE Energy offers other ways of paying your bills such as pay by phone, pay by mail and pay cash at authorized DTE Energy kiosks.
