Both the online Debtor Education Class and the online Credit Counselling Class have already been approved by the United States Trustee. Online Bankruptcy Class issues certificate to individuals who have completed either of the two courses. The two courses are not offered at the same time. You will have to first take the pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling first and then take the pre-discharge debtor education class later. If you are planning to file for bankruptcy protection in the United States, you will need to take a credit counseling class from a certified provider and then be issued with a certificate after completion of the course. You will also be required to complete a debtor education course so as to have debs discharged. It takes approximately one and a half hours to complete the Online Credit Counseling Class and the cost is $25 for joint filers and $24 for individual filers.
Individuals are required to take the pre-discharge debtor education class before receiving a bankruptcy discharge. This course is offered online by Online Bankruptcy Class and it takes approximately two hours. You can log out and then log in to continue where you left off. Once you complete this course, you will be issued with a certificate of completion. The cost of this class is $24 for joint filers and $23 for an individual filler.
HOW TO LOGIN
Step 1 – Click here to open the website in a new tab and you will see the login fields on the right side of the screen.
Step 2 – Enter your username and password of your Online Bankruptcy Client and then click on the “Submit” button.
You shouldn’t have trouble accessing your online account if your details were entered correctly. Note that you will need to identify whether you are logging as a student or an attorney.
HOW TO RESET/FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
Step 1 – Click “Forgot username or password?” if you cannot remember either your username or the current password of your online account.
Step 2 – enter the email address you provided during registration and then click the “Submit” button.
You should receive an email with your username or instructions on how to retrieve your credentials after a few minutes. Check your email address and follow the instructions sent to you.
HOW TO PAY YOUR BILL
Step 1 – Click “Start Now” on the left side of the screen in case you have not filed for bankruptcy.
You need to first register before you can pay for the course. Note that if you have already filed for bankruptcy click the “Start Now” button next to the login fields.
