Unsatisfied customer who will be cutting ties with LMCU after over 30 years as a customer. Submitted a mortgage loan application in November 2021 to assist my daughter in purchasing a home. Initially, I specifically asked what would be the quickest way to obtain funds (home equity line or mortgage) and was advised to go the mortgage route. Fast forward to February 1, 2022. Scheduled to close on the new home with over 2/3 cash down. Informed that underwriting cannot approve because my daughter’s name is only listed on the purchase agreement and title, not the loan itself. I understand that guidelines have to be followed. However, this should have been identified and addressed weeks, if not months ago! What a waste of time and money. Not to mention the cost of the loan is outrageous.
