The state of Virginia has been the birthplace of eight First Ladies as well as eight Presidents. Sadly. There have been seven presidents to be buried here as well.
The first state to elect an African-American governor was Virginia. There has been a total of 78 people born here that have gone on to become governors of other states.
One of the 78 was elected governor of two different states and another of the 78 went on to become the President of Liberia.
