Buffalo Water created a board that is responsible for operating and maintaining the water system in the City of Buffalo. The Buffalo Water Board provides customers with cost effective water services and also supports economic development. The members of the board consist of the chairman, vice-chairman and two other members. The board oversees the overall activities of the company. Buffalo Water has launched a metering program whereby the existing meters are being replaced with automated water meters. The automated meters can be read from outside the house and accurately bill the amount of water used.

Buffalo Water has three departments; the colonel ward pump station, filter plant and laboratory. In the 1990s, Buffalo Water used steam pumps to deliver water to customers in the city of Buffalo. The water department soon replaced the huge steam pumps with smaller electric pumps that are very powerful. Buffalo constructed a filter plant in the year 1926 to improve the quality of potable water. Before the construction of filter plant, Buffalo Water used to pump chlorinated water from Lake Erie to the city. The chlorinated water was unsafe because it often contained small fish, sticks, silk and contaminates resistant to chlorine such as protozoa and viruses. The filter plant was constructed to solve water quality problems. The employees in the laboratory analyze the quality of water at every stage of the water treatment process.
Buffalo Water has an informational website that keeps the customers informed about the company’s activities. The customer service is great and available day and night to answer questions asked by customers.

HOW TO RESET/FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
Step 1 – In case you cannot remember the current password of your online account click “Forgotten Password?”
Step 2 – Enter the email address that you provided during registration, enter the security code and then click the “Recover My Password” button.
Once you fill the form, an email with a password reset link will be sent the email address you provided after a few minutes. Check your email and follow the link to reset your password.
HOW TO PAY YOUR BILL
Step 1 – Click “Online Bill Pay” located on the left side of the screen to make a bill payment online.
Step 2 – Then click the “Invoice Cloud Bill Pay” hyperlink.
Step 3 – Click “Pay Now” to make a one-time payment.
Step 4 – Enter your account number, your mailing zip code and then click the ‘Search Invoices” button.
If you are planning on making multiple bill payments in future, you will have to first register so as to use extended features.
